This mural marks the first large-scale public artwork by emerging artist Tiarna Herczeg, created in collaboration with The Art of Wall for Urban Logistics in Rockdale.

Spanning 25 metres in width and 8 metres in height, the mural brings together two of Tiarna’s original studio designs. Positioned side by side, the compositions showcase different facets of her artistic voice—blending cultural symbolism, personal storytelling, and a strong connection to Country.

Tiarna’s practice is shaped by her identity as a Kuku Yalanji Aboriginal and Hungarian woman, and this project offered a unique opportunity to bring that dual heritage into a new, large-scale context. Working closely with Tiarna, The Art of Wall ensured her designs were faithfully translated at mural scale, using durable materials and a careful approach to colour and detail.

The result is a bold and vibrant artwork that reflects both the artist’s evolving practice and the client’s vision for a meaningful, visually striking facade.

The Art of Wall acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which we work and create. In Brookvale, we pay our respects to the Gayamaygal people of the Guringai Nation, and across the greater Sydney region, we acknowledge the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation and the many other First Nations communities whose Country we travel through and paint on.
We honour their ongoing connection to land, waters, culture, and storytelling—and extend our respects to Elders past and present.
